Ten Ways to Show Kindness to an Old Geezer
© 2004 copyright Raymond C. Evans
1 Laugh at his jokes no matter how bad they are.
2 Just pretend you’ve not heard it before when he repeats himself.
3 Pretend that you appreciate his great wisdom.
4 Pretend not to notice his wrinkles.
5 Pretend not to notice his bald head.
6 Give him a lot of room in case he tips over.
7 Don’t sneeze near him for fear of tipping him over.
8 Pay no attention how he shuffles along, it’s just his “geezeritis”.
9 Try not to step on him if he tips over.
10 See if you can find some training wheels for him so he won’t tip over again.
Most doctors agreed in a recent survey, that if the above courtesies are given to most old geezers, they might just last a little longer. Most doctors also agreed that if an old geezer should happen to tip over, the only humane thing to do would be to tip him right side up and lean him a little bit with a little nudge in the direction he wants to go.
