Ten Good Reasons to Feed Your Old Geezer
1 To get rid of your leftovers.
2 Because he’s hungry.
3 To get him off the couch.
4 To keep him from whining on the front porch.
5 So he can cut a little wood and make some kindling.
6 Because my mother said to “starve a cold and feed a geezer”, “or was it the other way around”!
7 So he won’t be so grumpy.
8 To test out a new recipe, “it won’t matter if it kills him”, he’s most likely half gone already anyway.
9 Because he needs some mothering.
10 Because he promised to do the dishes all week.
In spite of all their faults, most old geezers thrive on tender loving care. Most doctors agree that if they’re already housebroken all one should have to do is keep them well fed.
They should be bathed once in a while as well to keep up a healthy appearance. Their hair should be combed or their head polished as needed for good hygiene. Most doctors also agree that they should get their annual flu shots.
